Two owners, one trade, twenty-four years.
We started in 2002 with two men, a truck, and a license number. We have kept that feeling on purpose. The phone is answered by a person. The estimate is walked by an owner. The install is run by someone whose name is on the business card. We are small because that is how we stay careful.
A partnership in the refrigeration trade, since the first summer of the new century.
Terence Tarver and Norman Lourenco, 2002.
Cool Concepts was founded in the summer of 2002 by Terence T. Tarver — our president and the qualified individual on the NSCB license — and Norman F. Lourenco, who has run the day-to-day from the beginning. The two of them still sit at desks ten feet apart on Rancho Drive.
We took our BBB accreditation in 2004 and have held A+ standing continuously ever since. The NSCB has kept our C-21 license — refrigeration and air conditioning, statewide — in active standing for every one of those years.
In 2024 alone, Nevada contractor records show our company in the 95th percentile of the state on BuildZoom's scoring, with 179 permitted projects on file. That is a lot of rooftops, attics, and new-construction homes — and almost all of it inside the Clark County line we grew up working.
What we have not done is franchise, grow too fast, or hand the work off. The same two people signing this page today signed the first contract twenty-four years ago.
Names our customers already know.
You will see them mentioned by first name in our reviews — because on most jobs, that is how our customers meet them.
Twenty-four years, on paper.
The trust signals below are verifiable. The license can be searched at the Nevada State Contractors Board. The accreditation is posted on the Las Vegas BBB. The permits are public record.
Honest work and affordable pricing — the same two words we opened the shop with, in 2002.
